2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD Redesign, Engine, Interior – GMC’s Sierra 2500HD is a testament to America’s love affair with large trucks. A full-size pickup truck’s size and weight will make Prius drivers cringe in terror. Since last year’s comprehensive makeover, the 2500HD has maintained its competitive edge over the Ram 2500, and that’s a great thing.
The 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 in the 2500HD packs a tremendous 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque under the hood, making it one of the most powerful engines in its class. A ten-speed automatic transmission with this Duramax engine or a six-speeder with the V8 gas engine is used to transfer energy to the rear or all four wheels. The 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD is a well-rounded truck that can compete with the best thanks to a wide range of bed and cab combinations and several extras.
Chevrolet’s Silverado 2500HD and GMC’s Sierra 2500HD are both heavy-duty pickups. The GMC Sierra Denali is available in three-quarter-ton and one-ton versions, much like the Chevy variant. Unlike the Chevy Silverado heavy-duty range, the GMC Sierra heavy-duty range is more commonly a luxury vehicle. The GMC Sierra Denali HD is hard to pass up because it can do a lot and has many excellent features.
2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD Redesign
The Sierra is one of the most recognizable pickups in the American market, with a strong presence on the road. The external styling of the 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Regular Cab is primarily unchanged from the current model.
The front fascia is frightening due to its towering and erect stance. This oversized grille, LED daytime running lights and LED headlights to give it this style. A twin intake hood scoop adorns the hood, giving it a unique look. The tow hooks can be chromed up on the front bumper.
The truck’s 10.2-inch ground clearance is evident when approaching the vehicle from the side. The 17-inch steel wheels on the Pro trim are swapped out for 17-inch alloy wheels on the SLE. On the Sierra 2500 HD’s back end, LED taillights and incandescent stop, turn, and reverse signals are included. The Sierra has a multi-functional tailgate like most pickup trucks. Interior
Despite the facelift of the Sierra 2500HD two years ago, the truck’s outside still lacked charm; consequently, the interior isn’t any better. Compared to Ford and Ram’s offerings, the styling and materials used on this vehicle appear dated and unsophisticated. The Denali versions do a great job raising the cabin with luxurious fabrics, but the design remains a concern. There’s a lot of room to writhe around in despair on the inside. Vinyl seats and manual windows are included on the entry-level model, while higher trim levels add premium options like rear-seat entertainment and GPS.
This giant truck has seating for up to six passengers, depending on the cab type, ranging from the three-seater Regular Cab to the Double- and crew-cab models with two rows. Due to their sporty bucket-style seats, the AT4 and Denali have just five seats instead of the typical six. A healthy 43.11 inches of headroom is available in the regular cab of the GMC Sierra 2500HD, but double and crew cabs reduce it to 43.03 in the front.
All cab models have 44.53 inches of front legroom, while the Crew Cab offers a whopping 43.4 inches of rear-seat legroom. Those who drive a lot will appreciate the basic seats, which are well padded. The driver’s seat is elevated, allowing a better vision of the road ahead. Front seats with ten-way power adjustment are standard on SLT and higher trim levels.
Engine
The 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Regular Cab comes with a 6.6L V8 engine that produces 403 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 pm. Duramax Diesel engines are more powerful but are not available in the regular cab configuration. A six-speed automated transmission is mated to this machine. Both the back and all four wheels may get power. The 2024 Sierra 2500 HD Regular Cab has a payload capacity of 3,857 pounds and a towing capability of 14,500 pounds. Compared to the competition, this costs a tad less. The 2021 RAM 2500 is the pickup truck with the best payload and towing capabilities in its class. It can haul 17,540 pounds of cargo and 4010 pounds of payload.
GM Motors created the Sierra 2500 HD and Silverado 2500 HD, which are nearly comparable. On paper and in real-world testing, the GM twins come out on top. SLE ($42,100) and SLT ($52,100) are the following two tiers, with the latter requiring an upgrade to the Double Can and settling for the regular bed instead. For $59,600, you can have an AT4 Crew Cab, but you’ll also have to add the 4×4 drivetrain. Denali, the top-of-the-line model, begins at $66,000. It is essential to note that these rates are for trims in their most basic version.
