New 2024 GMC Yukon XL Specs, Price, Engine – Americans used to only care about the car’s fuel efficiency and comfort when they bought a crossover. In 2020, everyone needed all the everyday nitty-gritty things that come with a premium package, and then some, and then some more. A single company in this field can meet all of these needs without giving up its true American roots.
One of the best SUV’s in its class is the GMC Yukon XL because of its high-end design and roomy cabin. As far as design and platform are concerned, the new GMC Yukon XL is better than the old one. The price for the SUV starts at $51,000, and it has a lot of simple customization options. Chevrolet Suburban, Ford Expedition, and Nissan Armada are all in the same class as the SUV, which competes with them in this group.
2024 GMC Yukon XL Redesign
Exterior
However, even though the 2024 GMC Yukon has the same aerodynamics as a brick, it now looks much better. It’s one of the best-looking ones in the group that it fits into. Denali is more flashy and has a lot of chrome on it. The SLE and SLT trim look a lot like each other outside. A power-retractable assist step and lighting around the outside of the Yukon XL could also be added to the Denali trim, making it easier to use.
The base SLE trim comes with 18-inch 6-spoke machined aluminum wheels with dark gray metallic accents. The SLT trim comes with 20-inch 6-spoke polished wheels, which are even more significant. 6-spoke multidimensional polished wheels are standard on the Denali trim. There are also 22-inch bright machined wheels with premium paint that can be added to the car. That’s the only thing I’m not happy about. The AT4 trim, the best-looking and most practical and off-road-oriented one, doesn’t have a diesel engine option. If this one looks good, then it’s a good SUV.
Interior
The GMC Yukon XL has a lot of space inside, and it comes with a lot of luxury. There are tri-zone automatic climate control and cloth seats in the base SLE trim. The SLT trim has leather seats that are heated and ventilated for the driver and front passenger. Further, the Denali trim gets a leather-wrapped, heated steering wheel. It also gets heated seats for the second row of seats.
There is a lot of room in the front and second rows, and the third row is also big enough to fit adults. Because the driver’s seat doesn’t have a lot of room to change its position, it’s not ideal. Another minor flaw is that the base SLE trim doesn’t have a power-tilt and telescoping steering column. The GMC and Chevy are the roomiest here. While they have a lot of space in the front and second rows and a lot of room in the back, the Ford Expedition MAX has an enormous third row. The Sequoia, the only one with a standard wheelbase here, is the least roomy one.
2024 GMC Yukon XL Engine
The 2024 GMC Yukon XL diesel has a 3.0L Duramax turbocharged diesel engine with 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of power and torque. The machine has direct injection and active thermal management. It’s paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission which is electronically controlled with overdrive and has a Select Traction System with tow and haul modes and a Traction Select System. No, the Yukon doesn’t have the same amount of power as the gas-powered Yukon, but there’s still a lot of torque.
This is the main thing that makes the Yukon XL diesel so good. It has a lot of torque that can be used at a low rpm. In terms of speed, the V8 Yukon XL isn’t as quick as the diesel-powered Yukon XL. The diesel-powered Yukon XL can reach 60mph in 8.5 seconds and the quarter-mile in 16.6 seconds, faster than the V8. Even though they aren’t fascinating, these numbers are reasonable given the size and weight of the Yukon XL. The Yukon XL could also tow up to 8400 pounds with the Max Trailering Package, which is enough. The new GMC Yukon XL has an independent rear suspension, making a massive difference in how the Yukon drives and how it feels. It is very cozy.
