2024 GMC Canyon Elevation Engine, Price, AWD – It has been GMC’s workhorse for a long time, and its practicality has never failed to impress. Since it was completely redesigned for the 2023 model year, there haven’t been any notable modifications to the Canyon. The inside of the Canyon Crew Cab hasn’t changed from the previous model year, but the infotainment system and other amenities have been upgraded.
Since 1997, the GMC Canyon Crew Cab has been a trusted workhorse for many GMC customers. The 2024 edition of the truck, which was completely redesigned in 2023, is a sleek iteration of the car. In addition to the grille logo, other design features have been added to the outside of the vehicle. The inline-4 engine used in the base model is replaced by a bigger V6 engine in the Denali and AT4 trim levels, respectively, but only in the highest.
2024 GMC Canyon Elevation Redesign
As of 2024, the GMC Canyon Crew Cab’s design hasn’t changed much since it was redesigned in 2023. As with many GMC SUVs and trucks, the 2024 Canyon Crew Cab features a large grille with the red GMC symbol and black and chrome exterior decoration, depending on the model level you select. The GMC Canyon comes standard with LED projector headlights, daytime running lights, taillamps, 18-inch black-painted aluminum wheels on the basic model, and 20-inch diamond-cut machined aluminum wheels on the higher trim levels. They share a platform, which means that the external dimensions of GMC Canyon Crew Cab and Chevy Colorado Crew Cab are nearly identical. The Ford Ranger sports the segment’s shortest wheelbase, while theirs is the longest.
Interior
The inside of the 2024 GMC Canyon Crew Cab is both contemporary and functional, with a basic yet dramatic design. Because it is a Crew Cab, it can carry up to five people, making it more useful for regular driving. The dashboard is all-black with metal trim inserts, whereas the higher trim levels have piano black and wood inserts in the dashboards. A leather-wrapped multimedia and cruise control steering wheel is available. There are 6-way power adjustable fabric seats in the front. Leather seats are available on the Canyon Crew Cab’s higher specification levels. There are folding backrests in the second-row hearts, and they’re roomy. The Canyon Crew Cab is made even more valuable by including under-seat storage compartments.
The GMC Canyon Crew Cab’s newest GMC Infotainment System has an 8-inch touchscreen display unit as standard equipment on all trim levels. Bose sound systems with seven speakers are available in higher trim levels, while the traditional audio system has six speakers. Standard amenities include a SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth audio, phone connectivity, and a 4G WiFi internet hotspot for all trim levels.
Engine
The GMC Canyon Crew Cab in 2024 has two different engine options depending on the model level you select. The 2.5 L naturally aspirated inline-4 engine included in the Elevation Standard and Elevation trim levels delivers 200 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, the more powerful 3.6-liter ordinarily aspirated V6 makes 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission pairs the bigger V6 engine with the more fuel-efficient and quieter inline-4 powerplant as standard equipment. Except for the AT4 model, which is available solely with an AWD system, the GMC Canyon Crew Cab is available with RWD or AWD drivetrains.
Their powertrains are alike, too, between the GMC Canyon Crew Cab and the Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab. Instead of spending more money, drivers may get greater power and torque from the Ford Ranger. Compared to the previous version of the Canyon, the GMC Canyon Crew Cab handles well for a car of its size, with less body roll. In contrast, the Toyota Tacoma is the weakest vehicle in the class.
2024 GMC Canyon Elevation Price and Release Date

The Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab, Ford Ranger SuperCrew, and Toyota Tacoma Double Cab are competitors for the 2024 GMC Canyon Crew Cab.
