Dimensionally, the SUV will be 20 inches shorter than the truck and 0.2 inches narrower and will sit on a wheelbase that is 8.9 inches shorter.

The Hummer EV is more than just a vehicle with intimidating looks and much power. GMC has included many technologies and techniques to make the Hummer more capable on and off-road. All Hummer EVs (including the truck) are equipped with General Motors’ Super Cruise driving assistance system, first introduced in high-end Cadillacs. Hands-free driving is possible on more than 200,000 miles of roadways that have been equipped with the technology. When the scenario necessitates it, the latest version of Super Cruise will undertake autonomous lane changes on the highway.
On the other hand, the real trick stuff is reserved for when the going gets tough. It has 10.2 inches of ride height, but if you switch to Extract mode, the air suspension raises it even higher, giving you 16 inches of clearance. With Extract mode, the angles of approach, departure, and breakover are also increased. If you choose the Extreme Off-Road Pack, you’ll receive underbody cameras in the front and rear of the vehicle to spot any obstructions that may arise and ruin your day. The SUV’s shorter wheelbase may result in a reduction in battery capacity as compared to the truck. Still, it also makes the Hummer EV SUV significantly more maneuverable than its truck counterpart.
Interior
This vehicle is distinctive in its design compared to most other General Motors products, including other GMC trucks and SUVs. While the overall aesthetic is clean and basic, with straight lines and harsh edges that transfer to a vast, imposing appearance, golden and white accents add a splash of color to the otherwise dark theme. The interior of the Hummer EV SUV is identical to that of its truck version, which we believe is a positive development.
The interior of the Hummer seems quite open and large, aided even further by the removable roof panels, which GMC refers to as Sky Panels. The two brilliant screens on the inside are the most noticeable features, with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster panel and a horizontal 13.4-inch touchscreen in the center of the dash. With the ‘Watts to Freedom’ feature engaged, the Hummer EV accelerates from 0-60 mph in only three seconds, thanks to the available immediate torque. Due to the truck’s size and weight, the maximum speed is currently limited to 130 MPH, but the 11,000 lb towing capacity is one of the greatest in the industry.

GMC will begin producing HUMMER EV SUVs in early 2023, but only the Edition 1 cars will be available.
