If you need to haul more than 7,500 pounds, the 4.3-Liter V6 engine is your best option. The towing capability of the 6.6-liter V8 machine has been increased to 10,000 pounds, but the payload has been reduced to 4,010 lbs. With just 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, there’s little use in purchasing a 2.8-liter diesel engine. The van’s quarter-mile time is 16.5 seconds, and it takes 8.4 seconds to reach 60 mph in its standard configuration.
